Dispatcher

Overview

• Coordinate and manage dispatching operations for vehicles and personnel in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure timely and efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and track dispatched vehicles and personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and stakeholders to address inquiries and concerns.
• Handle emergency situations promptly, providing solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities for reporting and analysis.
• Assist with customs screening procedures as required to ensure compliance.
• Work onsite Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Coordinate dispatch schedules and assign vehicles and personnel to meet operational needs.
• Monitor the progress and status of dispatched vehicles and personnel throughout the day.
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and resolve issues during operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during dispatching activities.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Handle emergency situations effectively, coordinating resources to address challenges.
• Assist with customs screening processes when required, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize dispatching operations and improve efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent educational background.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related role, with 4 years preferred.
• Proven ability to manage dispatch operations and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple dispatch activities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with dispatch software and tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug and alcohol tests as required.
• Experience with customs screening procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
