Overview
- Lead the finance function of a growing construction company, ensuring financial health and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with the CEO to establish benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting standards for operational excellence.
- Oversee financial planning, accounting, treasury, tax, and risk management activities.
- Drive ERP system implementation and integration with CRM and operational systems.
- Develop pricing models and analytics to support business strategies and tactics.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements through robust internal controls.
- Provide strategic insights for M&A activities and greenfield market expansions.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Establish financial benchmarks, KPIs, budgets, and reporting standards in collaboration with leadership.
- Oversee accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate period closes and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships to meet business obligations.
- Implement consistent accounting policies and practices adhering to GAAP and legal standards.
- Lead annual audits and tax preparation, coordinating with external auditors and advisors.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and streamline workflows.
- Integrate acquisitions and support greenfield office expansions with strategic financial planning.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team to achieve organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in finance management, with 5 years in senior roles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is ideal.
- Proficiency in construction accounting software and CRM systems.
- Experience with percent-completion accounting in construction/contracting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience with M&A integration and greenfield expansions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
