Job Description

Overview

  • Manage fund accounting, administration, and reporting for registered funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for NAV calculations, subscription and redemption activities, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and review fund regulatory reporting and disclosures for SEC filings.
  • Coordinate external administrators, auditors, and internal teams for audits and compliance processes.
  • Analyze new accounting standards and prepare policy memos for transactions.
  • Work with technology teams to automate manual processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tax, Legal, and Portfolio Management for comprehensive fund management.
  • Review financial information for investor communications, internal reporting, and ad hoc analyses.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day fund accounting and administration tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Validate corporate-level activities, NAV allocations, and performance calculations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and SOX compliance.
  • Prepare Audit Committee and Board of Director materials with detailed financial insights.
  • Analyze financial impacts of new accounting standards on fund operations.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by collaborating with technology teams for process automation.
  • Support investor services teams with accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through meticulous reporting and disclosures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting and SEC filing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, performance metrics, and fund administration.
  • Experience coordinating audits and ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and technology-driven process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills for preparing financial reports and policy memos.
