Systems Engineer

Overview

• Serve as a Systems Engineer, managing and optimizing IT infrastructure for a dynamic organization.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer and optimize Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.
• Manage cloud services, including Azure environments and Office 365 applications.
• Monitor system performance and develop automation for IT processes.
• Implement security measures such as encryption, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Support application servers, databases, and secure data flows.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain managed solutions and ensure system reliability.
• Document IT infrastructure and create operational runbooks.
• Provide escalation support for infrastructure issues and assist in disaster recovery planning.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering or IT operations.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and endpoint management solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Experience in regulated environments and financial services is a plus.
