Overview

  • The Fund Accountant role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic fund administration environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily fund operations and facilitate client and third-party communications.
  • Process cash and treasury transactions using various banking platforms.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including investment-related accounting entries.
  • Maintain general ledger and generate financial statements and accounting reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze accounting activity for accuracy.
  • Calculate fund metrics, such as capital calls and distributions, per governing documents.
  • Assist in preparing financial workpapers and supporting documentation for audits.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in fund accounting, audit, or investment accounting.
  • Experience with Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Real Estate funds preferred.
  • Proficiency in Investran accounting software is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and in team settings.
