Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage resident services operations in a senior living community.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Foster a vibrant and engaging community environment for residents.
  • Oversee training initiatives and operational plans for staff development.
  • Coordinate resident-facing communications and engagement platforms.
  • Serve as a first responder for resident-related incidents and emergencies.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and operational compliance.
  • Support inspection readiness and certification efforts as required.
  • Promote a safe, service-oriented independent living environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership and direction to resident services department managers.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, dining, and wellness teams for service alignment.
  • Coordinate orientation programs for new residents and staff training.
  • Develop and implement operational plans and budgets for resident services.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management policies.
  • Oversee editorial content for resident communications and engagement tools.
  • Lead emergency action procedure development and testing with maintenance.
  • Participate in inspection readiness and certification efforts.
  • Address sensitive or complex resident issues in collaboration with wellness teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent senior living experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic office equipment.
  • Certified Senior Advisor certification is desired.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications may be required.
  • Strong communication, editing, and composition skills.
  • Ability to manage human, financial, and material resources effectively.
  • Experience in environments exclusively serving seniors is preferred.
