Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Install and commission Mercury MP/LP series controllers and associated hardware systems with precision.
- Perform power distribution calculations and troubleshoot 12VDC and 24VDC systems effectively.
- Wire, test, and validate door hardware, including card readers, REX devices, and door contacts.
- Diagnose faults at panel and field levels to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Verify grounding and power isolation practices to maintain system reliability.
- Perform system cutovers from legacy platforms to new access control systems seamlessly.
- Navigate access control software platforms, preferably Genetec systems, for system management.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and as-builts to execute project requirements accurately.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience; 10 years preferred for advanced expertise.
- Proficiency with Mercury-based access control hardware and associated systems.
- Experience with Genetec access control software platforms is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, interpret as-builts, and execute fieldwork independently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software systems.
- Comfortable working in active environments with minimized downtime.
