Overview
- Lead nursing operations in a high-acuity Emergency Department, ensuring quality patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and adherence to clinical standards.
- Oversee daily operations and staffing of a 24-bed Emergency Department with high patient volumes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies for emergency care services.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care delivery.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to evaluate and improve departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocation.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality, holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of emergency care.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental operations with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies in emergency care services.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; actively pursuing BSN completion within two years acceptable.
- Minimum of 3 years acute care leadership experience in an Emergency Department; manager-level experience preferred.
- Active RN license in state of practice or compact license as per regulations.
- Certifications required within 90 days: ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ENPC or PALS.
- Proven ability to manage high-acuity emergency care settings and oversee departmental operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on quality improvement and staff development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary team coordination.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and hospital policies for emergency care services.
