Overview
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in a critical care unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
- Oversee a 20-bed ICU and Progressive Care Unit, managing complex, high-acuity patient cases.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and foster teamwork.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain compliance and standards.
- Ensure staff competency through orientation, training, and continuous professional development.
- Participate in organizational decision-making and policy formulation to enhance patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care plans for effectiveness and adherence to standards.
- Promote a safe and ethical environment for patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and ancillary personnel, ensuring optimal patient care delivery.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Develop and administer budgets and operational plans for the unit.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance for improvement and development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, complaints, and suggestions effectively.
- Facilitate nursing research and educational initiatives to advance clinical practices.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper operation of unit equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical and supervisory nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
- Active RN license in good standing; BLS certification required.
- Proficiency in computer systems and data analysis for patient care management.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage physical demands, including standing, walking, and lifting.
