Overview

  • Provide essential administrative support to attorneys, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication in a hybrid work environment.
  • Assist with litigation tasks, including document formatting, TOCs, TOAs, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate within a professional and collegial atmosphere, contributing to a positive and productive workplace.
  • Handle diverse responsibilities efficiently, adapting to changing priorities and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks, with opportunities for increased responsibility as the office grows.
  • Transition from on-site training to a hybrid schedule with rotating remote work days.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills to manage tasks effectively using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including document preparation and formatting.
  • Generate tables of contents (TOCs) and tables of authorities (TOAs) for legal documents.
  • Manage a dynamic desk with significant client interaction, ensuring efficient communication and task management.
  • Adapt to new technologies and tools, maintaining proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
  • Support litigation processes, leveraging experience in Connecticut and New York jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate within a small office environment, contributing to team success and growth.
  • Participate in training and transition to a hybrid work schedule, ensuring seamless operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a legal administrative role, with litigation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in Connecticut and New York litigation processes is a plus.
