Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to financial analysis and reporting as a Junior Analyst in a dynamic, remote role.
  • Support cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, including variance analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights from financial data.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze large datasets efficiently.
  • Engage in month-end reconciliation processes to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Participate in invoice review and approval processes to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Develop expertise in ERP systems and BI tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Work remotely, offering flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate virtually.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly COGS reports, including detailed variance analysis.
  • Monitor cost trends in materials, labor, freight, and overhead to identify key drivers.
  • Analyze product-level and customer-level margins to support pricing strategies.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Reconcile invoices and address discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Contribute to month-end responsibilities, including vendor expense reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate financial insights effectively.
  • Utilize ERP systems and BI tools to streamline financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or equivalent education.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and lookup functions.
  • Experience with cost modeling, variance analysis, and manufacturing finance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication skills to convey insights to non-finance stakeholders.
