Job Description

Overview

  • Lead construction projects specializing in light industrial interiors, renovations, and new builds, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with office and field staff to oversee project execution and maintain high standards.
  • Balance office-based tasks (70%) with site visits (30%) for comprehensive project management.
  • Utilize estimating skills to manage budgets and project scopes effectively.
  • Supervise self-perform teams in drywall, ceilings, flooring, and painting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards across all projects.
  • Work on high-volume, smaller-scale projects requiring multitasking and adaptability.
  • Contribute to the growth of the organization through effective leadership and project management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and self-perform teams for efficient project execution.
  • Prepare and review project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards on all sites.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with office staff to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating and budgeting for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of self-perform operations including drywall, ceilings, flooring, and painting.
  • Ability to manage multiple smaller-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to coordinate teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in construction.
