Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage the Service Department, ensuring operational excellence and effective project execution.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to promote safety, enhance revenue, and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to department staff, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to meet production goals.
  • Gather client feedback to ensure satisfaction with services provided by department personnel.
  • Foster relationships with current and prospective clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Oversee department financials, ensuring timely billing and collections to maintain cash flow.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to optimize organizational performance and capabilities.
  • Identify business risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate and administer all activities within the Service Department, including project bidding and contract execution.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to department employees to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for department staff, providing constructive feedback and setting goals.
  • Review contractual documents regularly to ensure compliance with project and customer requirements.
  • Participate in monthly cost-to-complete meetings to analyze project financials with organizational leaders.
  • Monitor and ensure the department’s adherence to safety standards and practices.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention within the department.
  • Maintain oversight of department operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent educational background required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a service-oriented department.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on employee development and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and oversee departmental budgeting and cash flow.
