Overview

  • Lead nursing operations in the Operating Room, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leadership to implement strategic initiatives and enhance care delivery standards.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and patient safety protocols.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to improve patient outcomes and operational synergy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement nursing protocols and policies aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Monitor unit operations, addressing challenges to ensure seamless functioning and patient satisfaction.
  • Advocate for patient and family rights, ensuring satisfaction and resolving concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate with HR for recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
  • Direct emergency and disaster response plans within the department, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to address unit issues and promote safety and compliance.
  • Maintain quality control documentation, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and protocols.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement measures to optimize resource utilization effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required for this role.
  • Active RN license in the state of employment or compact state is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for patient care duties.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an operating room setting.
  • Preferred 6 years of experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in healthcare.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
