Overview
- Lead accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and accounts payable, ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management to support decision-making processes.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including GAAP standards and audits.
- Hire, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with departments to identify cost-saving initiatives and optimize financial operations.
- Utilize advanced financial systems and tools, including ERP and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5 years in a management role.
- Proficiency in GAAP standards, ERP systems, and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Experience in managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ability to develop and implement effective accounting policies and internal controls.
- Proven track record in cost management and financial strategy development.
