Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operational and strategic initiatives for the General Partner team, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with various teams to manage carry program functions and financial operations effectively.
  • Support audit and tax work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate reporting.
  • Utilize technology to automate processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy across operations.
  • Prepare and review quarterly financial statements, consolidating data with corporate accounting teams.
  • Analyze data points impacting carry programs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate expense reimbursements and allocations with management and fund accounting teams.
  • Engage in special ad-hoc projects to address emerging needs and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review deliverables and journal entries prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Track and maintain carry allocations and grants in collaboration with Human Capital Management.
  • Review realized carry calculations and distribution models, including wire transfer approvals.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly financials and collaborate with corporate accounting on consolidation tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal and external tax teams for quarterly tax estimates and annual returns preparation.
  • Work with third-party administrators to prepare and approve NAV packages quarterly.
  • Analyze data impacting carry programs and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Automate processes using technology to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public/private accounting, ideally within private equity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with AI, Altyrex, Anaplan, or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a drive for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with senior leaders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proven capability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.
