Superintendent – K12 Construction

Overview

• Lead construction projects for K-12 educational facilities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project requirements and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient resource allocation and project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements.
• Ensure the project aligns with budgetary constraints and contractual obligations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the construction team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee all aspects of K-12 construction projects, from planning to completion.
• Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment required for construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve technical challenges.

• Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction management preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in K-12 educational facilities.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools for tracking progress and resources.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements and resolve challenges efficiently.
• Availability to work on-site and oversee construction activities directly.
