Overview
- Support the Information Technology department by managing and optimizing virtual networking and systems infrastructure.
- Architect and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer System Center Virtual Machine Manager for lifecycle operations and VM provisioning.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline operational workflows.
- Design and implement Active Directory domains, forests, and trusts across multi-site environments.
- Manage enterprise storage platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliable data access.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support incident resolution and backup integration.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues across multi-VLAN environments.
- Contribute to the security and compliance of IT systems in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Architect and manage Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, including live migration and failover clustering.
- Administer virtual networking configurations, including VM switches, VLANs, and QoS.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
- Design and enforce Role-Based Access Control models aligned with security principles.
- Manage Group Policy Objects for security baselines and software deployment.
- Administer enterprise-grade DHCP and DNS infrastructures for hybrid environments.
- Implement and maintain hybrid identity scenarios, including Entra Connect sync and SSO.
- Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows infrastructure engineering or architecture roles.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V within clustered, production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with hybrid identity architectures and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and VLANs.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational workflows.
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms and disaster recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting and troubleshooting complex systems.
