Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Generate original trade ideas with a focus on asymmetric risk/reward setups.
  • Analyze market dynamics, catalysts, and price behavior to identify opportunities.
  • Structure trades with clear entry, target, and risk parameters.
  • Provide timely updates on active trades, ensuring clarity and usability of analysis.
  • Maintain discipline in prioritizing high-quality ideas over volume.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine strategies and improve decision-making.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by delivering consistent, actionable insights.
  • Participate in a screening process requiring the presentation of a sample trade idea.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in equity research, trading, or hedge fund roles.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, catalysts, and price behavior.
  • Proficiency in generating original ideas and applying risk/reward thinking.
  • Experience with options structuring and macroeconomic analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely under uncertainty.
  • Background in fast-paced environments such as trading desks or smaller funds.
  • Decisiveness and accountability in decision-making processes.
