Job Description

Overview

  • Provide high-quality infusion care to patients in a supportive outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to implement and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Document patient care services comprehensively and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to clinic operations.
  • Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage intravenous therapies and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
  • Dictate clinic notes and coordinate interdisciplinary communication effectively.
  • Provide detailed documentation of all patient care services in medical records.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Warmly greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Resolve patient concerns professionally and proactively.
  • Attend clinic meetings and complete necessary training programs.
  • Travel between clinic locations as needed to support operations.

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing with licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Maryland.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, with 5 years preferred, in infusion services.
  • Maintain Controlled and Dangerous Substance License and ACLS/BLS certifications.
  • Experience in oncology or specialty pharmacy is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills effectively.
  • Proficiency in computerized scheduling and documentation systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
