Overview

  • Lead and manage the Adult Critical Care unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies improving care efficiency and safety.
  • Utilize advanced medical facilities and technologies to support innovative healthcare practices.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice within the critical care department.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate services delivered by the Adult Critical Care departments.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality and safety.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to implement innovative healthcare solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to recognized nursing techniques and administrative policies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing personnel, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, implementing improvements as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care leadership experience in Critical Care; 5 years preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS provider certifications.
  • CCRN and/or CNRN certifications are preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage nursing teams effectively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate care delivery.
