Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical practice standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Optimize surgical room utilization and expand operational capacity.
- Standardize preference cards and stabilize core nursing teams.
- Transition staff to a metrics-driven, high-volume environment.
- Partner with physicians to implement operational changes and improve scheduling access.
- Expand surgical hours and enhance scheduling efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, with enrollment in a BSN program if not already completed.
- Current New Jersey RN license and BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 6 years of nursing experience, with 2-3 years in leadership roles.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience in acute care settings and surgical program management preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to drive operational improvements.
- Ability to manage financial, administrative, and clinical aspects of the department.
