Overview

  • Lead financial operations as a Family Office Accountant for a private investment entity, ensuring accurate fund accounting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to manage private equity and credit investments effectively.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, capital calls, and distributions for diverse portfolios.
  • Support seamless transitions to advanced accounting systems for operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate external tax and audit processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to investment documentation and reporting.
  • Contribute to the organization’s compliance as a registered investment advisor (RIA).

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage fund accounting for private equity and credit investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and cash flow forecasting for investment portfolios.
  • Optimize accounting processes during transitions to advanced systems.
  • Collaborate with external tax professionals and auditors to meet regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage investment-related paperwork and administrative tasks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing financial operations and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting; 15 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in capital calls, distributions, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience with Geneva accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with private equity and credit investment operations.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal in-office requirements.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and external professionals.
