Job Description

Overview

  • Perform electronics assembly tasks, including soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) following industry standards.
  • Fabricate, route, and terminate cables, wiring harnesses, and connectors for electronic systems.
  • Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical and electronic assemblies.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Collaborate with engineers to support development, testing, and refinement of prototypes and production units.
  • Document testing procedures, repairs, and modifications with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to company and industry safety and quality standards when handling electronic components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assemble and solder electronic components onto PCBs according to specifications.
  • Fabricate and install wiring harnesses and connectors for electronic systems.
  • Perform functional tests, troubleshoot issues, and debug assemblies.
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering drawings for assembly accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain electronic testing equipment effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine prototypes and production units.
  • Document procedures, repairs, and modifications comprehensively.
  • Contribute to SOP development and production documentation improvement.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all assembly processes.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, or troubleshooting preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 certification is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for professional interaction.
