Job Description
Overview
- Design and implement advanced wire harness systems for electromechanical platforms, ensuring optimal power and signal integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into compact and efficient designs.
- Develop comprehensive wiring diagrams, pinout documentation, and schematics for prototype and production systems.
- Define and implement robust connectors, shielding, and grounding strategies for reliability.
- Support system-level integration of sensors, computing units, actuators, and power electronics.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of electrical harnesses in lab and field environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve wiring issues during hardware bring-up and system testing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality and compliance in harness builds.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and optimize wire harness systems for high-performance electromechanical applications.
- Create detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinouts for system integration.
- Define and implement electrical components to meet performance and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during system development and testing phases.
- Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
- Ensure adherence to high-reliability standards and practices in electrical integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in wire harness design and electrical integration.
- Proficiency in electrical design tools such as Zuken E3, Mentor Graphics, or Altium.
- Experience with integrating sensors, computing systems, and power electronics.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD practices and high-reliability manufacturing standards.
- Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems using lab equipment.
- Familiarity with ruggedized systems designed for harsh environments.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and power distribution.
