Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform detailed evaluations to diagnose occupational therapy needs and establish treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement therapy interventions to achieve patient-specific objectives effectively.
  • Conduct regular reassessments and adjust care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
  • Provide therapeutic treatments, including exercises and equipment recommendations, to enhance patient functionality.
  • Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately to ensure continuity of care.
  • Coordinate with assistants and aides to ensure effective execution of therapy plans.
  • Mentor and train team members and students to uphold high standards of care.
  • Ensure therapy plans align with discharge criteria and facilitate smooth transitions for patients.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Valid Occupational Therapy license issued by the relevant state authority.
  • CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of employment commencement.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in occupational therapy preferred.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy practices and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to dynamic healthcare environments.
  • Capability to travel locally for patient care purposes using personal transportation.
