Overview

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory assays in a clinical setting.
  • Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct laboratory assays across multiple sections of the clinical laboratory.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Analyze patient specimens and provide accurate data for medical diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret and utilize test results.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in laboratory operations.
  • Document and report findings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior laboratory staff.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
  • ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Preferred experience with EPIC, Vitros, Unity, and WellSky systems.
  • Specialty certifications through ASCP are highly desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.
