Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Accountant ensuring financial operations integrity and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger activity and balance sheet accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Assist with cash applications in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Contribute to the organization’s financial strategy and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile monthly bank accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and post monthly close journal entries accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
  • Support the integrity of financial operations through detailed account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to enhance financial reporting processes.
  • Provide documentation and insights during internal and external audits.
  • Assist with cash applications and ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Offer backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in GAAP standards and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial operations.
  • Experience with account reconciliations and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
