Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database technologies with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Develop automation scripts using SQL, PowerShell, and Python to streamline deployments.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing strategies and execution plan analysis.
  • Collaborate on database design and modeling, ensuring normalization and schema versioning.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Monitor system performance using open-source tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure system reliability.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to enhance platform capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and scripting languages like SQL, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with open-source monitoring tools and distributed data platforms.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
  • Bonus skills include exposure to Apache Iceberg, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
