Overview

  • Lead perioperative services to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence within a dynamic healthcare organization.
  • Oversee surgical services, including staffing, forecasting, and budget monitoring to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in clinical practices and patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Enhance patient experience through strategic initiatives and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to expand service offerings and drive growth.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and operational expenses to ensure financial performance.
  • Provide leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the surgical services team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Develop policies and procedures to promote efficient patient throughput and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Monitor department budget performance and implement actions to address variances and achieve savings.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction through strategic planning and execution.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve employee performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and develop new service lines.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in all aspects of surgical services operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in surgical services; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing perioperative services and achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory standards in healthcare operations.
  • Experience in budget management, forecasting, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and enhance patient experience.
  • Effective leadership skills to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
