Overview
- Lead field operations for diverse K-12 and commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently upheld.
- Collaborate with project managers to align execution with budget and schedule goals, driving successful project outcomes.
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, field personnel management, and vendor relations to maintain seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced scheduling tools to ensure timely completion.
- Promote a strong site safety culture and enforce compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct regular site meetings and progress updates to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or cost impacts, ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel across multiple trades to maintain project efficiency.
- Conduct daily site meetings and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to ensure effective communication.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and local stakeholders to foster collaboration and trust.
- Drive site safety culture and enforce compliance with all safety standards and protocols.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project to ensure timely project delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues to ensure project success and mitigate risks.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications are a plus.
- 10–15+ years of construction experience with proven field leadership skills.
- Demonstrated success as a Senior Superintendent on projects exceeding $20M.
- Experience in K-12 and commercial construction projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required or willingness to obtain within the role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, means, and sequencing.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage fast-paced job sites effectively.
