Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient care, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Perform administrative duties alongside clinical responsibilities to support efficient healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Conduct clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering medications/vaccines, and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain examination rooms and sterilize equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical records system.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of active certifications and training.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform patient-facing duties including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as per certification and training.
  • Conduct phlebotomy, specimen collection, and diagnostic screening tests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient interactions and medical data in electronic health records.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program as required.

Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education level required.
  • CPR certification is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with a proficiency exam.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage semi-routine assignments.
