Job Description

Overview

  • Manage trade execution, performance measurement, and portfolio attribution analysis for the Equity team in a dynamic financial environment.
  • Collaborate with Operations Analyst, Back-Office, Compliance, and other teams to ensure seamless trading operations and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support to equity research analysts and operations analysts for trading activity and analysis.
  • Contribute to automation projects and business planning initiatives to optimize trading processes.
  • Execute trades within established guidelines while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date performance and ratings data, monitoring portfolio cash positions effectively.
  • Fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements to support operational transparency.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with flexibility to adapt to additional hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process and settle trades adhering to trading and operations guidelines and standards.
  • Assess and report on market practices and developments, recommending necessary changes.
  • Monitor fund performance measurement and allocation, ensuring accurate tracking of portfolio cash positions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, broker/dealers, and Back-Office to execute trades efficiently.
  • Develop and implement automation projects in collaboration with operations analyst and IT.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, adhering to zero-tolerance policies for trade errors.
  • Maintain strong communication with operational teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of trades and reporting.
  • Support equity research analysts and operations analysts with administrative tasks and analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in financial services, with 1-2 years in a trading environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, Bloomberg, AIM, VBA, SQL, and other automated tools.
  • Strong understanding of equity and financial markets, with experience in market analysis and fund management.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively in a real-time environment with strong risk management awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with business units and operational groups.
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized team player with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed in a hybrid work arrangement.
