Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional customer service in an optical dispensary setting, assisting clients with eyewear selection and dispensing.
  • Support administrative tasks including patient registration, scheduling, and claims submissions.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Verify and manage orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the dispensary by performing assigned duties effectively.
  • Temporary contract role with potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses, ensuring satisfaction and accurate order processing.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to address customer questions and concerns.
  • Support co-workers in the dispensary and health technology center as needed.
  • Register and schedule patients, ensuring smooth administrative workflows.
  • Submit claims and maintain accurate documentation for patient services.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order necessary supplies, and maintain organized stock.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders and follow up on pending items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support dispensary operations.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in optical sales preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in optical sales or a related field.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling and claims submissions.
  • Ability to maintain inventory and order supplies efficiently.
