Job Description

Overview

  • Support monthly close cycle for feeder funds, including fee recalculations, allocation checks, and capital activity management.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate remotely with a dynamic team to maintain financial records and reporting standards.
  • Utilize expertise in fund accounting to manage master-feeder structures effectively.
  • Contribute to a high-performing financial team with potential for permanent placement.
  • Work in a remote capacity, preferably within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
  • Engage in a short-term contract role with a possibility of extension or permanency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Execute monthly close processes for feeder funds, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Perform fee recalculations and allocation checks to maintain financial integrity.
  • Manage capital activity and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with accounts payable tasks, including verifying billed amounts and tracking wire activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with fund accounting standards.
  • Leverage knowledge of master-feeder structures to optimize fund operations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting processes and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of fund accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing master-feeder fund structures and related processes.
  • Experience with investment fund auditing, fund administration, or fund operations.
  • Ability to work remotely and adapt to Eastern Standard Time schedules.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex accounting tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
