Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare financial and managerial reports, budgets, and rate cases in compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with auditors to support testing of controls and substantive testing of assigned topics.
- Perform research on complex accounting topics and present findings to senior management.
- Develop and update internal accounting policies in collaboration with finance and operating teams.
- Prepare entries, disclosures, and analyses for energy efficiency programs and ESG reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls in all accounting activities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research as required by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and managerial reporting.
- Strong research skills in accounting pronouncements and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and auditors.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and ESG disclosures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hybrid work environments and adaptability to changing priorities.
