Overview
- Lead and oversee educational program operations, ensuring high-quality special education services for children.
- Supervise staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance and professional standards.
- Develop and implement curriculum and program strategies to meet educational goals.
- Collaborate with other agency programs and community organizations to enhance services.
- Exercise independent judgment within established policies to optimize operations.
- Ensure the effective utilization of resources to meet children's needs.
- Provide leadership and direction to direct care and clinical staff.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and coordinate all components of the educational program services.
- Supervise and develop direct care and clinical staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Develop and expand program offerings to meet the needs of children served.
- Collaborate with agency programs and external organizations to enhance service delivery.
- Oversee curriculum implementation and program development strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between the program and community stakeholders.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and staff to achieve program goals.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Special Education and active NYS Certification.
- NYS School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
- At least 4 years of experience in a School Administrator role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage program operations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and curriculum development.
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of special education services.
