Job Description

Overview

  • Support U.S. tax compliance and reporting activities with a focus on state and local indirect taxes.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to multi-state sales and use tax compliance processes.
  • Assist with tax filings, payments, notices, and month-end processes to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors for accurate tax reporting.
  • Develop technical tax knowledge and apply it in a corporate environment.

  • Work in a hybrid environment combining remote and on-site work.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Calculate monthly sales and use tax data ensuring accurate multi-state filings.
  • Review and analyze state and local tax notices and assessments, providing responses and documentation.
  • Support month-end close processes including tax journal entries and payments.
  • Assist with partnership return and K-1 data gathering for federal and state filings.
  • Research tax positions and contribute to compliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams to manage recurring deadlines and priorities.
  • Provide support for income tax filings and related processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of indirect tax or state and local tax experience preferred.
  • Background in Big 4 or public accounting is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Partnership and income tax experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in tax-related software and state revenue portals.
