Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient pre-screening and scheduling activities to ensure smooth enrollment processes for clinical studies.
- Evaluate patient eligibility through interviews, medical record reviews, and collaboration with site staff.
- Manage patient communication, including reminder calls, rescheduling, and addressing barriers to study entry.
- Monitor and optimize onsite patient screening schedules, ensuring adherence to recruitment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
- Support local community outreach events to educate and engage patients about clinical trials.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage referral leads and enhance recruitment strategies.
- Assist in training new team members and retraining existing staff to ensure operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare or medical research.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a medical or healthcare environment; 6 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and patient scheduling tools.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred for enhanced patient communication.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Experience with therapy areas and customer service in a clinical setting is preferred.
