Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct overnight sleep studies, including CPAP/BiPAP titration, ensuring accurate data collection and patient safety.
- Set up and calibrate diagnostic equipment, applying sensors and electrodes for optimal monitoring.
- Monitor patient conditions during studies, responding promptly to any emergencies or technical issues.
- Score sleep studies and prepare comprehensive reports for physician analysis and treatment recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to AASM standards and protocols, maintaining high-quality care and compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to refine procedures and enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient interactions for record-keeping and quality assurance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for diagnostic equipment during studies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; associate’s degree acceptable with relevant experience.
- Current certification as RPSGT, RST, or CPSGT strongly preferred.
- BLS certification required; minimum of 1 year of experience in a sleep lab setting.
- Proficiency in polysomnography and CPAP/BiPAP titration techniques essential.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain patient-focused care standards.
- Strong knowledge of AASM standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration with healthcare teams.
