Internal Audit Manager

Overview

• Lead internal audit processes ensuring compliance with SOX 404 and financial integrity.
• Design and implement internal control systems to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT audit teams and support external audit activities.
• Identify and implement automated audit processes compliant with regulations.
• Prepare risk and control matrices and test plans for financial reporting.
• Provide training and guidance on internal control standards to staff.
• Manage compliance with COSO 2013 Integrated Control Framework.
• Assist in preparing audit reports for management and audit committees.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Plan and execute SOX 404 compliance activities including walkthroughs and control testing.
• Conduct integrated audits addressing financial, IT, and operational aspects.
• Evaluate procedures to determine the effectiveness of financial controls.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation such as narratives and matrices.
• Test accounting and operational procedures against established standards.
• Ensure compliance with laws, procedures, and policies.
• Provide audit assistance to external auditors during annual audits.
• Support compliance, investigative, and governance-related projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT-related coursework required.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in internal controls design and testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and analytical tools.
• Experience with Optro audit software preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA highly desired.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
