- Perform direct patient care tasks such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data management within electronic medical records.
- Support patient registration, scheduling, and referral coordination processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with registration, check-in, and check-out procedures.
- Monitor patient flow and address service or clinical issues proactively.
- Schedule appointments accurately and verify insurance coverage as required.
- Perform direct patient care tasks, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and manage pre- and post-referral communications.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records and adhere to data integrity standards.
- Participate in campaigns and initiatives to improve patient care outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in work assignments and patient interactions.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for certification within 18 months required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and data management systems required.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in a similar role for advanced expertise.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle patient interactions professionally.
- Flexibility to work varying hours between 8 AM and 6 PM as needed.
