Job Description

Overview

  • Lead FPGA development across the full product lifecycle, including architecture definition, detailed design, integration, verification, and deployment.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, including hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
  • Design and optimize FPGA-based solutions for high-performance embedded and video processing applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and FPGA integration issues, implementing effective corrective actions promptly.
  • Support technical discussions, design reviews, and program status meetings with customers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and documentation practices.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for customer testing and integration activities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and optimize FPGA designs using VHDL and Verilog for embedded applications.
  • Perform synthesis, timing analysis, and place-and-route optimization using tools like Vivado and Synplify.
  • Design and debug high-speed digital interfaces including MIPI, LVDS, SERDES, DDR, SPI, and I2C.
  • Collaborate with PCB vendors on stack-up development and technical reviews.
  • Generate manufacturing documentation for fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Support system integration and debugging using laboratory test equipment.
  • Enhance video processing architectures and interface standards for cameras, sensors, and displays.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of FPGA and embedded hardware development experience.
  • Proficiency with FPGA platforms from Xilinx, Lattice, and Microchip, including associated development tools.
  • Experience with simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim and Questa.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, debugging, and laboratory test equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical design considerations for ruggedized or military environments.
  • Eligibility for Top Security Clearance is mandatory.
