Job Description

Overview

  • The Operations Analyst role involves managing operational tasks for public securities products in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • Support trade lifecycle operations, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators and service providers to ensure accurate trade instructions and settlements.
  • Resolve cash and position exceptions, ensuring accurate records and timely issue remediation.
  • Engage with internal teams and external partners to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Leverage AI tools for workflow automation, anomaly detection, and operational risk management.
  • Participate in operational projects, providing ad hoc reporting and management support.
  • Handle corporate actions and proxy voting processes, ensuring timely submissions and accurate records.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to process improvement and automation in operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage post-trade lifecycle operations, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators and service providers for accurate trade instruction transmission.
  • Resolve daily cash and position reconciliation exceptions, ensuring accurate records.
  • Utilize AI tools for anomaly detection and workflow automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address operational challenges.
  • Handle corporate actions and proxy voting processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate in operational projects and provide support for management reporting needs.
  • Maintain security masters and book daily trading activity in relevant systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve settlement breaks and escalate issues as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required, with a focus on finance or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 3 years preferred, in operations or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience with AI tools for workflow automation and anomaly detection is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with problem-solving abilities.
  • Assertive and motivated personality, capable of grasping detailed concepts quickly.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Knowledge of public securities products, including bonds, equities, and options.
