Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects within the $5M-$10M range.
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure comprehensive bid submissions.
- Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams to align on project goals and budgets.
- Review and assess subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of estimates and project cost analyses.
- Participate in bid meetings and provide insights on project feasibility and cost implications.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize project cost estimates.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures in all estimating activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator with a general contractor.
- Preferred 10 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects.
- Proven track record of tenure and stability in previous roles.
- Experience with public and hard bid projects is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site five days a week in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with project teams.
