Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects within the $5M-$10M range.
  • Analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure comprehensive bid submissions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams to align on project goals and budgets.
  • Review and assess subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of estimates and project cost analyses.
  • Participate in bid meetings and provide insights on project feasibility and cost implications.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize project cost estimates.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures in all estimating activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator with a general contractor.
  • Preferred 10 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of tenure and stability in previous roles.
  • Experience with public and hard bid projects is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation and documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site five days a week in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with project teams.
