Job Description

Overview

  • Support SEC reporting and financial statement preparation with accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely quarterly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze and verify transactional data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare detailed analyses and supporting schedules for trial balance accounts.
  • Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial data management and reporting.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines during filings and reporting periods.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare financial statements for SEC reporting companies by analyzing general ledger data.
  • Support financial close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Verify transactional data accuracy and maintain bank activity records.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for documentation and compliance.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial management and reporting tasks.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and S-1 statements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
