Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge unmanned and autonomous systems within a dynamic R&D environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions addressing complex real-world challenges.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand mission requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
  • Participate in all stages of product development, from concept to deployment and testing.
  • Utilize advanced CAD tools and prototyping techniques to refine designs iteratively.
  • Support field evaluations, customer demonstrations, and design reviews to ensure product success.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and R&D initiatives enhancing platform capabilities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including design packages, test plans, and assembly instructions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the development of mechanical systems, mechanisms, and subsystems for UxS and CUxS platforms.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather feedback and refine engineering solutions.
  • Drive rapid prototyping cycles, including simulation, testing, and design refinement.
  • Troubleshoot design challenges, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions meeting operational needs.
  • Support production, integration, and fielded systems with engineering expertise.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development stages.
  • Participate in customer demonstrations, field testing, and design reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 3–5 years of experience designing mechanical systems in robotics, aerospace, or related industries preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hands-on experience with prototype development, system integration, and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for dynamic operating environments.
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into engineering solutions.
  • Eligibility for top security clearance is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and field testing.
