Overview

  • Drive revenue accounting strategies in a dynamic, growth-focused organization, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and delivering accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze revenue trends and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Develop and document robust revenue accounting policies, strengthening internal controls and supporting organizational scalability.
  • Lead integration of revenue processes for acquisitions, harmonizing practices and ensuring seamless transitions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and gross margin analysis in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
  • Oversee month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
  • Perform detailed reviews of complex revenue transactions, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
  • Partner with FP&A teams to analyze revenue trends and business drivers, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Document and maintain revenue accounting policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Lead revenue process integration for acquisitions, aligning practices and harmonizing policies effectively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the revenue accounting team, fostering technical accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries promptly.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in revenue accounting and ASC 606 compliance.
  • Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations, deferred revenue, and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience documenting accounting policies and supporting SOX compliance is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively and collaborate across departments to achieve organizational goals.
