Job Description

Overview

  • Manage accounting and administrative functions for a professional services firm, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop financial strategies and support business growth.
  • Perform hands-on accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance and project-based billing.
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits, and 401(k) plan administration.
  • Coordinate tax planning efforts and liaise with external tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and improve financial processes.
  • Manage office operations, including vendor coordination and client meeting preparation.
  • Support HR functions, including onboarding and benefits administration.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Execute day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Prepare detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Administer payroll and employee benefits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate tax planning and collaborate with external advisors for tax compliance.
  • Oversee office operations, including vendor management and facility coordination.
  • Maintain office policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide HR administrative support, including onboarding and benefits management.
  • Develop financial insights and reporting to support organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in professional services.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Experience with project-based accounting and invoicing highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ambitious, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work on-site in a collaborative and professional environment.
