Job Description

Overview

  • Provide unbiased financial advice to clients, focusing on long-term wealth building and investment portfolio construction.
  • Collaborate with a global team to deliver high-quality investment counseling services to McKinsey Partners.
  • Engage in hybrid work arrangements, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities effectively.
  • Develop expertise in asset allocation, market dynamics, and financial planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide tailored investment advice to McKinsey Partners, addressing asset allocation and market dynamics inquiries.
  • Prepare detailed balance sheets and performance reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on investment products and topics to assess suitability and inform decision-making.
  • Document investment counseling meetings and activities to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Coordinate implementation of investment proposals with external providers as required.
  • Prepare materials for pension plan investment board meetings and client communications.
  • Facilitate transactions in proprietary investment products and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage proactively with clients, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline from a leading university.
  • 1-2 years of experience in investment consulting or wealth management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, asset allocation, and portfolio construction strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Integrity and maturity in handling confidential financial matters with direct client interaction.
  • CFA, CAIA, or CFP designation preferred; willingness to pursue certifications encouraged.
  • Completion of Series 65 exam required within the intermediate term.
